Sorry, coin shop in France while on holiday.

I was thinking that maybe somebody broke it out of a set and he took it for 50 cents only... just a theory

My friend has gotten on of those colored 25 cent coins of Canada that come from those cards you can get at the post office for 20 bucks or something from a washing machine (his parents operate a coin laundry).

The 1 cent The Netherlands 2013 that I found earlier is not minted for circulation, already found 5-6 so I can not understand how it is possible I find them in circulation while mint says that they are not in circulation. The best explanation I have is that there is stolen a coin roll package of 2013 somewhere and the thieves are spending the coins  :.

I'm finding GBP 2013 1p, 5p & 10p's on a daily basis but have yet to come across a 2p, 20p, 50p or £1.

Checking every coin that comes my way....just in case

I live in a small town with 3 banks, but they manage a small amount of currency, almost everything is done with cards, so receiving the current year coins takes really LONG, but finally past month I started finding 2013 coins on my pocket change.
Some are in horrible condition as it seems they jumped from hand to hand from Mexico City all the way through here, but other I've found in pristine almost UNC condition, specially since a few weeks ago I went and "assaulted" the 3 banks for 10-5-2-1 Pesos and 50-20-10 Cents coins. On the first I got a full 100 coin bag for the 10$, then came home and searched it, got 19 coins for my collection. Went to the next bank and changed the 81 coins for 5$, and repeated the operation for the third where I got the smaller denominations.
I managed to complete almost every series except for 14 coins that I'm still missing, and five 5 cent coins that I'm still missing but those where took out from circulation in 2003 so I'm a bit late onto that and running into the risk of them becoming too rare.
Numista referee for the "Viceroyalty of the New Spain" (most of it).
History through coins.

Ooh! I actually have one of these too! Completely forgot about it, got it as change in a pub. I am still looking for a 50p with the shield from 2013.

It is so cool when people knows you collect coins and they take the time to see through their change during the week and if they see anything interesting they save it up for you with no additional charge but that of the currency itself.

The lady that cleans my house also sells candy and food at weekends outside her house and every time she finds an interesting coin she saves it up for me.

Sweden doesn't strike so any coins anymore. There was a 1 krona in 2012, but other than that they haven't strike any since 2009..

Not in circulation, but my sis gave be a Canadian 2013 Mint Set for Christmas!  :8D

I ain't found any £1 coins yet, got another £2 (standing on shoulders of giants) one's today, along with about 6 20p's!!!  None for ages then they all come at once!

Still after a 50p shield coin also.

The Denali quarter was a 2012 release, and I found my first one in March 2013.  

I still have not found a single Yellowstone (2010), Olympic (2011), Acadia (2012), or El Yunque (2012) in circulation yet, let alone a Great Basin (2013).

Isn't it about darn time we close off this tread?

I'm sure by February 2014 coins will start showing up in some countries.
No longer in business since 2015. May consider swaps on rare occasions. Mostly use the profile to catalogue my personal collection.

Why didn't you leave it for lotus ? Instead of popping him to the post  ? He's done a great job of the year gone editing his original post. Also why not have 2013 open ? There's still loads of 2013 uk coins missing, then we will monitor this years and see if we can find a trend with how they release coins from the mint ?

I got my first floral £1 today ...



 and has Welsh lettering on the milled edge, so I guess there are three others (England, Ireland, Scotland) to collect. Not sure how long that will take - with coin being dated 2013 and it is already now 2014. I got it in change from Sainsbury's supermarket, and not sure if they got it in a bag from the bank directly or whether a customer had spent it. Though it is nice and shiny it has some knocks already, but that is typical with the metal in UK £1 coins I guess.

They are 2013 coins found in circulation in 2014. So, it isn't thick.

You might be 11 but you need to learn some manners.

I'll be getting the 2013 Welsh and English pound coins soon! A shop keeper has set them aside for me along with some Olympic coins and Benjamin Brittens! Oh yeah!

Also, a very thick shiny 2010 (so apologies) Gibraltar £1.

  Finished at last; I got my first 2013 UK £2 coin in pocket change yesterday.
That was the only one I had not got (to complete the 8 circulating coins set).
