I haven't unfortunately. Perhaps I'll find my first 2013 coin in a few months.

I am nearly 100% sure I won't get my first 2013 UK coin until December next year.

I know what you mean it wasn't until the third of January this year that I got my hands on a 2012 Ten Pence for my website.

I still don't have the 2012 10p, 20p or £2 coins

I have all upto £1 but the 2011 £2 coins are still seemingly rolling
Out up here ! I have had 4/5 now fresh out of the packet !

I don't usually find any until March and last year I didnt find any until May. Hopefully this trend does not continue.

Based on past performance, 2013 cents, nickels and dimes will likely enter circulation in the USA gradually over the next three months.

I rarely see them in my area. I usually end up ordering them from my coin dealer.

I didn't realise they were in circulation this early in the year.

Yeah if you go to China they probably have them released already.

The US usually has Denver coins released by April. In Japan it's before the summer.

In the Dutch province of Friesland, there is a tradition of finding the first peewit egg. The Peewit is a bird which lays its eggs very early in the year. Finding the first peewit egg traditionally marks the start of spring.

I suggest we do a similar thing for the first coin of the current year: whoever finds the first 2013 coin in circulation posts a pic on the forum, and his/her fame will last for the rest of the year

Well, I know this should be on the 2012 list but I have just picked up 5 x 20 pence 2012! 4 will be going on the swap list! I do hope to get a 2013 coin in October 2013!

No they will not. Every Canadian mint set from now on will be missing the penny. You can already buy 2013 sets and non of them have the penny in it.

A little excessive but 1972 Pennies were not struck for circulation so they were only struck as proofs for collectors. They do have a book value of £5.

The Netherlands will release the new 2 euro cc next week, so I probably will find it in circulation in the week after next week!

Our Central Bank is overproducing 25 centimos 2013 . Almost all 25 centimos I see now are minted 2013

I'm not bothered by the tube ones really, I would prefer a new 50p or spade guinea £2

None from the UK yet but I will be getting the proof set when they become available in march, however I have just received two polish 2013 2 zlote today.

I like the 2013 Underground 2£.

I now have one with Train and two with the logo! Feel so lucky, as the first two I was given in exchange for Olympic coins by a colleague. The corner shop just gave me my second logo one when I asked for any special £2 coins. I hope he will continue to look out for them for me!

Just today my mum gave me coins from my co-worker who came back from Malaysia (and Singapore). One of them is a 10 Sen from 2013. It's officially my first 2013 coin, even before I got my first 2013 from the US.

In Germany the new 2 Euro commemorative coins are already quite common:

Yes I did buy them. There is a guy local here who has a nice selection of Polish coins including updated 2 zlotes. Unfortunately I have never been to Poland.

I know this Topic is for coins in circulation, but I could not wait for the Guinea £2 so I bought mine from the Royal Mint and it arrived today. Still not seen either of the Underground £2 or any UK 2013 coins yet.

 They say it is £10 with free postage, but really it is £2 for the coin, £5 for Signed For postage, leaving £3 for packaging. Ah well - at least I have one now.

 Never thought of that - I am in town on Friday, so I will ask in there if they have any for sale; or either of the Underground £2 as I don't have them. Plus I might get a few Doctor Who stamps as I know they have those as I saw them on display a few weeks ago. Thanks

Still same price it seems. I would have thought that it would be cheaper, as you are going into the Post Office to collect, so would not pay the postage that the Royal Mint build into their price.

I'm in America and I've gotten some 2013 cents, but that's it so far.

For Canada: In addition to the colourized 25¢ you already listed, I found normal 10¢ and 25¢ plus the de Salaberry non colourized type 25¢.

Just got my first AU/UNC 2013 circulation coin, the 25¢ Salaberry in non-colourized.

I found a US dime a few weeks back but no nickels so far, and I just got the Teddy Roosevelt and Sacagaweas a week ago also.

Korean 10 Won issued in 2013 are also circulating.

Not that I have them, but I think Fiji issued their first circulating coins without a British monarch this year.
