I just thought it would be a good way for people to share nice coins they saw on the "coin at random" section. A lot that have been posted I'd never seen before and probably wouldn't have known about until someone posted them here. It's certainly made my want list a lot longer and less attainable

13 ??
Also, I surprised myself by actually liking the way this coin looks, although really it's very plain.
Also also, not one person on Numista actually has this coin!

The thing that annoys me is that it's not listed consistantly. The 1850 Switzerland Rappens are listed as Billon and I think they were 40% silver, however the 1950s and 1960s Mexican Pesos are listed as "Silver 0.100 (10%)" They should either list everything under 50% silver as billon or list the actual silver percentages on all coins

God I love the design of the UK pence. I know many will disagree, but it's by far one of the most eccentric/futuristic designs I have ever seen. I also love the 5 pesetas (
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces1262.html ) which I believe was the first coin to step out of the "classical" design boundaries.

I've always fancied Iranian 19th century coins. Quite a beauty...yes quite a beauty.

Looks very similar to the style of the Tibetan coins, with the character in a square on the front of the coin
